Winged liner? Check.
MASSIVE lashes? Check.
Overdrawn, voluptuous lips? Check. Check. Check.
I went ALL out with the face this weekend ladies and gentlemen. In a big way. Every way possible in fact. And I blame Cara Delevigne. After my 4 mile run on Saturday afternoon (just gunna drop that in there shamelessly) I was chillaxing with the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar and came across the most beautiful advert for YSL featuring the bushy-browed beauty donning a fierce red lip and winged liner combo. So what did I go for Saturday night? Yeahhh no prizes here…
I decided to throw some pointed cat eye liner into the mix. Ooohhh yeah. Move over Catwoman, here’s your p45 love. To accompany the liner I decided to go for a gold/soft grey eyeshadow combo. Now I know that gold and grey don’t normally make the best partners in crime, but the grey is bordering on black… So maybe that’s why. And of course it wouldn’t be a Cupid Bow look without some killer lashes!
As you may or may not have gathered from my previous blog posts, I’m not the biggest fan of my lips. They’re not very full and lack definition and shape *cue the violins*. However on my weekend spree around Superdrug I came across the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer range. I had heard of these and seen numerous reviews on them but hadn’t tried them until this weekend. I don’t really know why, I think it’s probably because I know that if I like a lipstick or lipgloss I won’t just be buying one or two shades… I’ll be buying that whole shelf. And be asking the staff to get stock out of the back just in case the range becomes discontinued. I need help, I know I need it. “It’s all for the kit” I keep telling myself. However, I resisted all temptation this time and really did just buy two shades of the lip lacquers (I can hear my bank account weeping tears of joy!) and here you can see me wearing shade Across The Universe. The lacquers truly are amazing. They’re a mix between a lipstick and a lipgloss and therefore the consistency of them are very easy to work with and I was able to create an overdrawn lip look (full review of these coming soon… I don’t wanna give too much away now…) Here’s the full look:
So what do you think of the cat eyes? They have the power to make your eyes look massive and are a real attention grabber. They may not be for everyone, but are they for you? Or are you leaving them for the more feline of females?
